Digiscrap

I finally got around to doing another digiscrap page. I've learned alot in the past couple weeks! So now I can finally start doing Chase's baby book, though I still haven't finished Emily's and she's five.....
Digital is just so much faster once you learn how, and now I don't have to drag out all my supplies which is why I'm so behind on my others!

Please tell me what you think!

Poor baby

Poor little Chase's cough and cold is getting worse instead of better. He's up for hours on end at night crying. We put some eucalyptus in his vaporizer and that seems to help, but it's just so heartbreaking! Needless to say Justin and I were so sleep deprived yesterday that we both decided to be the one to stay home from church with the sick baby. But I do always really miss it when I'm not there. And I feel that way all week long! Hopefully he'll be better by next Sunday.

Firsts

Every mother has known the almost daily thrill of "firsts" with a new baby. First smile. First giggle. First time sitting up.
This week Chase had a few firsts.

First time scooting. He scooted a good foot or so sitting on his bottom. It's quite hilarious to watch.

First time on hands and knees, preparing to learn to crawl.

First Cowboy Hat.... :)

But sadly today isn't one of those happy firsts.

Poor little Chase woke up at 4am with his first cold.

Don't you just want to put a protective bubble around little babies so they can't get sick? It's just so sad. And I think he has a resistance to Tylonol cause it never seems to bring his fever down. At least he's finally taking a nap. Hopefully he can sleep some of it off.

Kirby, Corbin, and Lincoln... Oh My!

Saturday night (after Heather's fabulous open house) some of our improv group headed up to Rexburg to see "The Society", an improv group with Kirby Heyborne, Corbin Allred and Lincoln Hoppe ( you've seen them in the lastest crase of LDS films like Saint's and Soldiers and Single's Ward etc). They were hilarious! All four shows sold out.
We'll be doing improv again for the pre-show to See How They Run, but it's been our goal to eventually just do an evening of improv/comedy. And after seeing their show I know that it's not only possible, it's alot of fun!

How does a trip to the library turn into this you ask?

First you take your kids to the children's section as usual. Then you watch as they each quickly spread into their own preferred sections. They gather up their usual style of books and you begin to think to yourself that being a good mom would mean that you should help them diversify their interests. So you strongly suggest that along with their reading for pleasure selections, they take a look around the non-fiction area for books about subjects they just might be interested in learning about. First Austin ,of course, looks at the ones he's already read, Genus Book of World Records, books on Lego's and robotics, etc, so as I am requiring of him that he leave the library with at least 1 "learning" book on a "new" subject and I'm telling him all the many subject there are too choose from, Ashley overhears "art" and "how to draw faces" so we're looking up books on how to draw things, faces in particular, and we come across a book on face painting. So I'm thinking it will be those little designs that I usually paint on kids' cheeks at school carnivals and such. No, it's an all out theatrical full face painting book. And since they usually start reading the very second we get home she dove right into the face book first. And you certainly can not read a book about 'how to' do something and not immediately put it to practise so out came my Halloween stash........

She decided that since we didn't have the right colors for the designs in the book, that she would design her own. Ashley did hers and Emily's, and Evan did his own.

First digiscrapbook page accomplishment!

I've been interested in digital scrapbooking for awhile but had no idea how to get started. So I just surfed the web for awhile the past couple of days until I figured out the basics. I still need help learning some stuff though but let me know what you think of my first layout!

Now to figure out how to have it printed........
