Happy Half Birthday Chase!!!

Our baby is 6 months old today!
How do we get from there to here in just half a year?
Wow that went fast! I'm sure all moms feel the same way.
Though it seems with each child they grow up even faster.
He is such a sweet and happy baby. Full of giggles and smiles and he usually goes to sleep without a fight! Don't be jealous, he still gets up once or twice a night for a bottle.......
But you are worth the sleep deprivation! We sure love you "Little Man!"

Mock Thanksgiving

No one could make it over to the In-laws for Thanksgiving this year so they picked a Saturday that everyone was free and did their own Thanksgiving! Complete with Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, rolls, homemade noodles, salads, cranberry sauce, mint and nut cups, pumkin pie and all!

The only catch was that Grandma wanted us to dress up as Pilgrams or Indians.

Meet "Many Moons" and "Chief Cocoa"

Here is "Rain Cloud"

This is "Stands with a fist"

This little girl is "Bright eyes"

And last but not least we have "Small Sun" holding "Smiling Rock"

We tried to avoid war paint on the wee one, but when Aunt Shantell gave him hugs and kisses, hers rubbed off!

But soon he'll be old enough to hold his own, he is sitting up now! Yeah Smiling Rock!

This is Heather's fault too!!!!

OK Heather, you informed us all that it is national blog month and challenged us to blog everyday. Well no one wants to hear from me that much but I'll throw in a couple more, like this one that I normally wouldn't.
This is a NON-BLOGGERS tag to become bloggers!
It really is a fun way to get to know more about people. Even the people you think you know really well. I've learned alot about ya'll!
I know I have some friends and family who stalk my blog without blogging themselves because some of you have sent me e-mails saying as such (instead of leaving a blog comment, like a normal blogger would do!) Yes, there is more than one of you doing this! So here is the challange to all you who are reading this blog and have not yet started one of your own - TAG you're it! START A BLOG! I won't name any names like my own sister Tracy or anything. It's really easy. I'll hold your hand if you need me to. And since this is national blog month, you have to start it in Nov. That is plenty of time. Even with Thanksgiving. In fact, that's your first assignment if you haven't started one by then, you must blog Thanksgiving! Now if you've read this, you must do this (after all, you have been tagged!) It is official.

Halloween

Halloween was a blast as usual. It's so much fun when it's decent weather!

A few days before Halloween we carved our pumpkin that we got at Albertsons.

Then we remembered the U-Pick pumpkin place. Even though we had our pumpkin, we decided to head there for some cute pictures.

After the pictures we looked around and found that they had also grown cantaloupe, honeydew melon, watermelons, and farm fresh eggs! We just had to get some of each they were so good! And the eggs were much fluffier and lighter than store bought eggs!

Then the kids went through the free haystack corn maze and had some hot chocolate.

Halloween Day:

First we always stop as Grandma's office for some trick or treating and then chili from their office cook-off. Then we like to head to Boo at the Zoo.
Ashley wanted to enter the costume contest this year so we all went and entered instead of just sitting and watching. Emily won 2nd place in the 0-5 group, Evan waon 3rd place in the 6-10 group and Justin and I won 2nd place in the adult catagory! The kids got stuffed animals and all of us each got 4 tickets to the zoo next year!
Then we went home to pass out candy, and like always the kids seem to enjoy that just as much. They even fight over who gets to answer the door next!

LAST CHANCE!!!!!

Last chance to get tickets for Karaoke Killer! Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th are the last shows! This show is really fun! Mostly there have been couples coming and having a great time, but kids are enjoying the show too!

Where else in IF are you going to find funny, unique, family friendly LIVE entertainment that costs less than going out to Edwards? Besides, Edwards doesn't have the audience vote on the ending!

Come on and support the show so we can stick around!!! I go to everybody's home party's for candles, pampered chef, etc and spend much more than $8, so it's time to return the favor!

I'll see you there! Except Heather R and Julie A and Jessica H, they already came!!! Thanks you guys!!!

Even if you can't make it for some strange reason, please forward this website to anyone and everyone you know who enjoys to be entertained even in the slightest (this includes anyone you know who watches television!)

Besides, doesn't this just look like fun?

You're never too old

You are never too old to try something new. Austin finished his last soccer game on Thursday so Saturday they were going to give out awards, eat donuts, and play a game of kids vs parents. Mind you these are 10-12 year olds who've been playing for years and are the same size as I. Not to mention they get to wear cleats and shin gaurds and I have never played soccer before in my life. Oh yeah, and when they were about to start, there were only a bunch of dads on the parents team. So I felt a little out of place, but gave it a go. Ok so soccer is harder than it looks. Watch a ball come flying toward you at shoulder height and just try not using your arms! I'd like to say that once I got used to not using my arms that I took an amazing leap into the air and side kicked that ball right into the goal, but no. I found out that I'm a ducker. I did manage to get a few good kicks in here and there. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Anyhow it was a lovely October afternoon and we all had a little fun and got a little, no alot, of exercise in.

Austin also put together a puppet show for pack meeting. Him and a friend made their own sock puppets out of, what else? Old soccer socks! Austin made an alien and his friend made an earthling and they wrote their own little script and did pretty good.

Ashley had her first recognition night for Achievment days. They work on Faith in God requirements from age 8 through 11 preparing them for mutual. Its kind of the girls version of boy scouts. They've been learning alot and have fabulous hard working volunteer leaders. They do such amazing things for our girls. They really deserve a recognition night of their own. The leaders even got flowers for all the girls to go home with. Very cute.

My first UNofficial tag....

So photo tag has been going around. If you didn't see already you are supposed to post the 4th picture from your 4th folder and explain it. I thought it was fun to see and read everybody else's and Julie tagged "anyone else who wants to play" so that's me, right? Of course I probably would have passed if it was something terribly embarrasing......
This is a picture of a dog we had named Daisy. She was a pretty good dog for the most part. We had never trained her at all, yet when she was out of the dog run and we had no fence, if she took off after a dog walking by on the other side of the street and Justin yelled her name, she instantly came back! But, like people, dogs have their quirks that make them unique. Daisy's little quirk was barking when it snowed. Where we live it snows 9 months out of the year so this little habit wasn't so cute. Especially in the middle of the night. We tried a few different things to no avail, not to mention she just wasn't getting as much attention during the day as she deserved, so off she went to a loving home not so far away just over a year after we got her. We hope you're happy Daisy! The kids still miss you from time to time! (Of course, they could sleep right through your midnight snow hunting sessions.)
I also tag whoever else wants to play!!!
