Labor Day weekend

First we woke up Sat morning and took Evan to his first ever Soccor game. He did awesome! He just kept getting in there and was never afraid. Then the boys and I headed to Island Park to meet my parents and the girls. Justin headed off to Boise for the week. When we got there they were just putting the boat in the water so Chast got to go for his first boat ride! He even got to drive the boat!

Of course everyone else took a turn too.

Then they were driving us nuts so we left them stranded on an Island........

Then the kids decided to try the tube. The 3 middle kids played for quite awhile. Then Evan and Ashley decided to go for an actual ride. He is giving the thumbs down for "slow down" while she doing thumbs up for "speed up!"

Austin the Dare devil?????

Ummmm, he didn't even want to go on the boat in the first place. He was really upset when we made him go. But after he got over it, he drove the boat, played on the Island, swam in the water and then he went the fastest and longest on the tube! Most the time we have to "force" him to have fun, or he'd sit home on the computer and spend his life alone if we'd let him!

Then we spent the rest of Sat, Sun and Mon at the cabin. Grandpa took them on 4 different treasure hunts! Pretty spoiled kids! And there were beautiful bright red fish in the creek for the first time in 15 years!

Teus and Wed were pretty rough as things were piling up on my plate and dad was still a few hundred miles away. But we made it work and he made it home Thurs morn at 2:30am in time for Emily's 5th birthday!

The kids were so excited to see him. All day they kept saying "you're not going again right?"

At preschool they spent an entire half an hour talking about Emily and learning what all she likes and dislikes and singing her a special birthday song. It was so sweet. I could just feel how special it made her feel.

Then we got to go to Austins soccor game that night

Then Saturday after yet another soccor game :) we took the kids to the fair where we ate fabulous fair food, played games, went to the petting zoo, and watched a hypnotist show.

They had a blast in the kids zone, but were very disappointed the reptile tent wasn't there again. Last year they got to hold an alagator and a big huge yellow snake.

  1. Deb!Thanks for checking out my blog, I'll add yours to my list as well! Your family is just so cute. Ryan can't get over how cute Emily is every time that she comes into Jamba! Maybe for the next ward party we'll just put the invites on our blogs and that will do!
