Ashley flies too!

Ashley took her first flight the day after Thanksgiving. They took off just as the sun was setting so she got to enjoy the sights of soaring above the earth while it's light enough to see it all, then she also got to enjoy a beautiful sunset (shown in the take-off video) and Mark kept her out long enough that it was completly dark by the time they came back and they got to see the twinkling city lights as well as Christmas lights! If anyone wants to know where the best ones are, ask Ashley, she saw the whole city!
Here's their take-off into the sunset:

Chase decided to hold a meeting while we were waiting.

Evan's first flight

Did I tell you my kids have a really cool Uncle or what? Thanksgiving day Uncle Mark flew up and landed in the farmer's field near Grandma's house. After the feast and some down time he decided to fly the airplane to the airport for safe keeping for the night. He asked Austin if he wanted to go, but he said no so Evan quickly seized the opportunity saying "I do! I do!"

Take off and first few minutes of flight are here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjZhFFkGdRw

Then Uncle Mark said they flew all over Idaho Falls and Evan recognized our church building so Uncle Mark could find our house! When they landed Mark told us that Evan said "Thank you Uncle Mark, I really enjoyed myself!"

Super Troupers!

So Sara, Shelby and I had so much fun doing Super Trouper from Mama Mia at IFYAC's Broadway Revue at the Colonial on Monday night, that we decided to go ahead and do it again at the Festival of Trees yesterday. Of course there were alot less people there, but it was still tons of fun to be a Super Trouper again! And this time we got it on video!

Ok I tried to post the video and it didn't work :(
But here are a couple of pictures that turned out.

I got it to load on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJmt_Lh3hUA

Happy Half Birthday Chase!!!

Our baby is 6 months old today!
How do we get from there to here in just half a year?
Wow that went fast! I'm sure all moms feel the same way.
Though it seems with each child they grow up even faster.
He is such a sweet and happy baby. Full of giggles and smiles and he usually goes to sleep without a fight! Don't be jealous, he still gets up once or twice a night for a bottle.......
But you are worth the sleep deprivation! We sure love you "Little Man!"

Mock Thanksgiving

No one could make it over to the In-laws for Thanksgiving this year so they picked a Saturday that everyone was free and did their own Thanksgiving! Complete with Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, rolls, homemade noodles, salads, cranberry sauce, mint and nut cups, pumkin pie and all!

The only catch was that Grandma wanted us to dress up as Pilgrams or Indians.

Meet "Many Moons" and "Chief Cocoa"

Here is "Rain Cloud"

This is "Stands with a fist"

This little girl is "Bright eyes"

And last but not least we have "Small Sun" holding "Smiling Rock"

We tried to avoid war paint on the wee one, but when Aunt Shantell gave him hugs and kisses, hers rubbed off!

But soon he'll be old enough to hold his own, he is sitting up now! Yeah Smiling Rock!

This is Heather's fault too!!!!

OK Heather, you informed us all that it is national blog month and challenged us to blog everyday. Well no one wants to hear from me that much but I'll throw in a couple more, like this one that I normally wouldn't.
This is a NON-BLOGGERS tag to become bloggers!
It really is a fun way to get to know more about people. Even the people you think you know really well. I've learned alot about ya'll!
I know I have some friends and family who stalk my blog without blogging themselves because some of you have sent me e-mails saying as such (instead of leaving a blog comment, like a normal blogger would do!) Yes, there is more than one of you doing this! So here is the challange to all you who are reading this blog and have not yet started one of your own - TAG you're it! START A BLOG! I won't name any names like my own sister Tracy or anything. It's really easy. I'll hold your hand if you need me to. And since this is national blog month, you have to start it in Nov. That is plenty of time. Even with Thanksgiving. In fact, that's your first assignment if you haven't started one by then, you must blog Thanksgiving! Now if you've read this, you must do this (after all, you have been tagged!) It is official.

Halloween

Halloween was a blast as usual. It's so much fun when it's decent weather!

A few days before Halloween we carved our pumpkin that we got at Albertsons.

Then we remembered the U-Pick pumpkin place. Even though we had our pumpkin, we decided to head there for some cute pictures.

After the pictures we looked around and found that they had also grown cantaloupe, honeydew melon, watermelons, and farm fresh eggs! We just had to get some of each they were so good! And the eggs were much fluffier and lighter than store bought eggs!

Then the kids went through the free haystack corn maze and had some hot chocolate.

Halloween Day:

First we always stop as Grandma's office for some trick or treating and then chili from their office cook-off. Then we like to head to Boo at the Zoo.
Ashley wanted to enter the costume contest this year so we all went and entered instead of just sitting and watching. Emily won 2nd place in the 0-5 group, Evan waon 3rd place in the 6-10 group and Justin and I won 2nd place in the adult catagory! The kids got stuffed animals and all of us each got 4 tickets to the zoo next year!
Then we went home to pass out candy, and like always the kids seem to enjoy that just as much. They even fight over who gets to answer the door next!
